ERICA Lab

Emotion-Regulated Interpersonal Communication & Affiliation

Welcome!

The Emotion-Regulated Interpersonal Communication and Affiliation Laboratory, or, the ERICA Lab, is the research team led by Dr. Yen-Ping Chang in the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling of National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan.

We're interested in the roles of emotions in social relations. For example, our research tackles how people express emotional feelings to others, what the expresser "actually wants to say" through emotion expressions, what information the target ends up receiving, and as a result, how emotions regulate the communication and affiliation processes between the two parties.
